Propolis is a wax-like resinous substance collected by honey bees from tree buds or other botanical sources and used as cement and to seal cracks or open spaces in the hive. Propoloplus fortifies the immune system and is used for relief of inflammation, viral diseases, ulcers, and superficial burns or scalds. It also promotes heart health, reduces the chance of cataracts, and contains local antibiotic and antifungal properties. It should not be taken if one is severely allergic to bee stings.
