The active ingredient, D-mannose, is a simple sugar that is found in many fruits such as cranberries, pineapples and other plant sources. Small amounts of U-Tract are metabolized by the body, with the remainder being excreted via the urine.
As U-Tract is flushed from the body it maintains a healthy environment in the urinary tract, supporting the urinary tract mucosal surface and helping to bind and flush bacteria from the system.
U-Tract is produced from natural sources – birch and beech wood hydrolysates. Though D-mannose is a simple sugar, it is not converted to glycogen like many sugars and is not stored in the liver.
