How it Works

 Mucinease is an ideal formula for patients experiencing upper respiratory congestion as the ingredients may help promote levels of normal mucus viscosity and may shorten the duration of a cold, flu, and other sinus symptoms.

Cold and flu infection may bring body aches, congestion, stuffy nose and fever, but there are steps you can take once the illness has appeared to help your patients relieve symptoms and possibly shorten the duration of their discomfort. Mucinease has been specially formulated to support sinus comfort while acting as a natural antihistamine, and supporting immune health.

Mucinease may support the body in doing the following: 

  • Strengthen the immune system and aid in the breakdown of mucus in the upper respiratory tract 
  • Promote the reduction in healing time and reduce the aggravation of a dry cough

Who makes DesBio products?

DesBio is the brand name of Deseret Biologicals, Inc., based in Sandy, Utah. They make homeopathic remedies, nutritional supplements and botanical products, and sell them mainly through healthcare practitioners.

What is a homeopathic remedy?

A homeopathic remedy is made by diluting a natural substance many times over, following the methods of homeopathy. Most DesBio remedies are liquid drops that combine several ingredients at different potencies, such as 6X, 30X or 30C.

What do the numbers like 6X, 30C and 200C on DesBio products mean?

They show how many times an ingredient was diluted. "X" means each step is 1 part in 10, and "C" means 1 part in 100. Many DesBio formulas blend several potencies of the same ingredient.

How are DesBio products made?

DesBio states that its products are made in FDA-registered facilities under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). It also says it follows the German Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia and tests finished products for purity and heavy metals. DesBio has a reputation of making an extremely clean, pure line of homeopathic products.

How do I take DesBio drops?

The usual label direction for a DesBio tincture is 1–10 drops under the tongue, 3 times a day, or as your healthcare practitioner directs. Hold the drops under your tongue for a few moments before swallowing. Always follow the label on your bottle, because DesBio directions can vary by product.

Can I put the DesBio drops in water?

Yes, if you dislike the taste of the alcohol base of DesBio tinctures. Add your drops to a small amount of water and sip it slowly, holding each sip in your mouth briefly.

Can I take more than one DesBio product at a time?

Many practitioners recommend DesBio products together, for example in DesBio's detox kits. Space the products a few minutes apart, and ask your practitioner how to combine them for your goals.

How long until I notice a difference on DesBio homeopathic products?

This varies from person to person and depends on the DesBio product or protocol- many variables.

Should I take DesBio products with food?

In standard homeopathic practice, drops are taken on a clean palate. Leave about 15–20 minutes before and after eating, drinking, brushing your teeth, or using mint or coffee once you ingest a DesBio product.

Do DesBio drops contain alcohol?

Yes. Most DesBio liquid remedies are made with demineralized water and about 25% ethanol, which preserves them. If you need to avoid alcohol, ask your practitioner about alternatives, or add the drops to a little warm water.

Can I use DesBio while pregnant or breastfeeding?

DesBio labels advise anyone who is pregnant, nursing or trying to conceive to consult a healthcare practitioner before use.

Are there possible side effects to taking DesBio homeopathic products?

DesBio remedies are highly diluted, but everyone responds differently. If you notice anything unusual, stop using the product and contact your healthcare practitioner.

How should I store DesBio products?

Keep the DesBio bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Homeopathic practitioners also recommend keeping remedies away from strong smells such as essential oils, perfumes and camphor.

Is it OK if my DesBio products got warm or cold in shipping?

Room-temperature storage is best, but short trips in normal shipping (temporary increases in temperature) are not usually a problem for alcohol-based drops. If a bottle arrives leaking or with a broken seal, contact us and we'll make it right.
