Canine Hemp Oil Complex is a hemp oil supplement for dogs with a 3-in-1 benefit of supporting dogs’ endocannabinoid systems, inflammation response resolution pathways, and endogenous antioxidant pathways. To achieve this, Canine Hemp Oil Complex is made with non-genetically engineered hemp, a combination of natural omega-3 fatty acids (including DHA and EPA) from calamari oil, and Brassica (TrueBroc^®), which contains broccoli for additional antioxidant support.
 
This combination of well-balanced polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs, omega-3 oil) delivers essential fatty acids needed for the formation of specialized lipid mediators for a healthy immune response. Hemp oil and omega-3 oil may support the resolution phase of the inflammatory process by providing PUFAs, which are known to be precursors to endocannabinoids. Additionally, Brassica (TrueBroc^®) is an important phytonutrient providing antioxidant support by activating the Nrf2/ARE pathways. The calamari oil we use is certified sustainable from the independent nonprofit group Friend of the Sea®.

Why support a dog’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) with omega-3s and hemp oil for dogs?
The endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is present throughout the body and appears to be an important factor in multiple physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms in all mammals.¹
Endocannabinoids are derivatives of PUFAs, and are critical in supporting the ECS. Additionally, supplementation of hemp-oil derived fatty acids support key inflammatory mediators involved in the resolution phase of a healthy inflammation process.^2-3 A well-balanced ECS encourages favorable conditions in the body system, impacting the body’s ability to manage metabolic stress⁴ and may support overall health and well-being. ⁵
